Ruby Slipper Makes Investment In Opportunity At Cafe Reconcile

Our friends at The Ruby Slipper have keen eyes for good investments. With more than 22 restaurant locations across the Gulf Coast, they are dedicated to nurturing delicious new ideas and the talent behind them. As philanthropists, they recognize Reconcile New Orleans as a powerhouse that supports the personal and professional development of talented youth in our community.

The Ruby Slipper, which recently celebrated the re-opening of their Canal Street location (1001 Canal St) with two preview days, has donated $5,000 to Reconcile New Orleans. This generous contribution invests in young people by funding training experiences and valuable resources that will help them in accessing educational or professional pathways.

The gift is more than just a generous donation; it's a powerful testament to the importance of community engagement, partnership, and solidarity. Their gesture extends beyond mere monetary value, symbolizing businesses' remarkable potential to positively influence the communities they are part of while opening the doors to opportunity for local young people.

"We are incredibly grateful to the Ruby Slipper for supporting our work with local young people who will be the next leaders in the culinary and hospitality industry," said Kheri Billy, chief executive officer of Reconcile New Orleans. "With support from partners like Ruby Slipper, we continue to offer young people a valuable introduction to career pathways, life skills, and professional training that will help set them up for bright futures as they enter the workforce."

As an official Employment Partner, Ruby Slipper collaborates with Reconcile New Orleans to strengthen awareness about Café Reconcile's work and engages in training experiences with its young people. In addition to its donation, Ruby Slipper inspired customers during its local pre-opening Friends & Family events to contribute and learn more about Café Reconcile's mission to create access to opportunity for young people.
