Class 3, 2018

Glynnisha is one of our awesome students from Class 3, 2018!

What’s the biggest thing you’ve learned since you’ve been here?

“Since I’ve been here the biggest thing I’ve learned is how to work as a team, be a team player and learn how to humble myself and take correction.”

What would you say is your favorite part or your favorite thing that you’ve done?

“Learn and listen. My favorite part is the life skills class. They teach me about how to be at a job, or what to do at a job, or what to say in an interview. Some skills I didn’t know of, life skills. I enjoyed it.”

What would you say is the most challenging part of being here?

“Getting up early in the morning and trying to persevere through hard times of personal things that you’re going through. And just trying to be authentic with so many distractions.”

If you had to explain this place to someone who had never been here before, what would you say to them?

“I would say it’s a great experience. I would say that these people really care and they’re gonna push you to do things that you have to do. And you just have to take it seriously and want it for yourself. They’ll take care of you, this is a great opportunity. They give you employment opportunities, they feed you, they give you a stipend, and better connections.”

Best thing on the menu?

“Grilled Shrimp Salad if you want to be healthy. Or a Fried Shrimp Sandwich or Bell Pepper if you want to be more of a foodie.”
